Job Description:

Working under the direction of the Development Applications Engineer - Senior Team Lead 3, will be responsible for

designing, developing, and delivering strategically-aligned learning and development programs for the MathWorks

Technical Support Organization; managing relationships with stakeholders to balance priorities alongside

organizational learning needs to ensure buy-in, sponsorship, and budgeting; uncovering and analyzing learning needs

within area of specialization through partnerships with relevant staff; designing, curating, developing, and implement

learning solutions aligned with business priorities and initiatives; creating self-serve learning resources, blended

learning solutions, and instructor-led and eLearning offerings; providing coaching and consulting on curriculum/training

design and development and building long-term business relationships with various groups within the organization;

managing organizational knowledge by identifying internal experts whose knowledge and skill can be leveraged by

others; working to find ways to share expertise effectively, including coaching to develop and deliver learning resources;

teaching and facilitating formal classes, informal groups, and events as required specifically in the areas of MATLAB,

Application Deployment, Parallel Computing, and Test and Measurement to the Technical Support Organization;

working with subject-matter-experts from other internal teams; and measuring and documenting the transfer of

knowledge and associated impact via key performance indicators and Kirkpatrick evaluation models.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or Computer Science and no experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience

in job offered or five (5) years of experience developing algorithms and experimental systems for modeling, simulating,

and measuring physics and engineering processes.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise in design, development, and deployment of computation algorithms and applications to

solve engineering and physics problems using MATLAB, C/C++, and LabVIEW or Simulink.

• Demonstrated expertise solving computational engineering and physics problems using parallel computation and

simulation techniques to process big data and long-running tasks.

• Demonstrated expertise in design and implementation of experimental test and measurement systems using

automated control of scientific instruments for data collection and analysis, data acquisition, and image acquisition.

• Demonstrated expertise developing training programs or course curriculum for engineers; and developing

instructional contents.
