Job Description:
Analyzes business requirements to create comprehensive project
design documents. Designs and implements busi business tests to ensure all project requirements are met.
Evaluates business requirements and identifies and analyzes technical issues. Designs, proposes, and implements
solutions throughout various projects. Primary Responsibilities: Delivers quality products and solutions to customers by
understanding product strategy and customer needs. Delivers custom enhancements to proprietary applications to meet unique
user requirements. Configures environments, proprietary tools, and migration strategies and processes as
part of the larger project planning process. Gathers business requirements and creates project design documents.
Ensures projects are completed on time and on budget. Monitors and resolves internal and external project
interdependencies. Performs defect triage during the business acceptance-testing phase of projects. Creates user stories,
analyzes technical issues with developers, and provides business clarity when needed. Creates process flows to simplify
and explain the domain to project team members. Establishes project roadmaps, priorities, and designs the
overall project work plan. Defines process roadmap for the
organization. organization. Works with business owners to prioritize the scope
of work and facilitates project forums to bring agreement on delivery schedules with technology and business
members. Defines test cases, establishes test data, reviews test results, and identifies and evaluates gaps for
various projects. Creates acceptance criteria for user stories and writes sub tasks for business validations. Triages the
status of user stories and ensures stories are assigned to relevant groups and are developed, tested, and completed.
Implements business analysis best practices and improves methodologies and tools to ensure the consistent application of
business practices. Education and Experience: No degree and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered
or seven (7) years of experience performing business and systems analysis of mainframe design solutions within a
financial investment services, defined contribution, and retirement services domain. Or, alternatively, Bachelors degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a closely
related field and five (5) years of experience in the job of offered or five (5) years of experience performing business and
systems analysis of mainframe design solutions within a financial investment services, defined contribution, and
retirement services domain. Or, alternatively, a Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing business and
systems analysis of mainframe design solutions within a financial investment services, defined contribution,
and retirement services domain. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing data analysis of
retirement plan configurations, transaction processes, participant data maintenance, and mutual fund data using
configurable SQL reports. DE performing analysis of recordkeeping, administration, and
transaction fee codes in a Client Billing System (CBS) using configurable SQL reports; analyzing fee processing
cycles (daily, monthly, or quarterly) using mainframe system user interface -- Micro Focus Rumba or IBM AS 400
reports; analyzing automated recurring nightly jobs (daily, monthly, or quarterly) that send plan data files to Extract,
Transform, and Load (ETL) tool to aggregate data using xml based data files; and analyzing daily jobs that sync plan and
participant data between Sybase and Oracle databases, using xml file and configurable SQL reports. DE analyzing on demand plan and participant data feed files in
xml format that are generated from ETL tool and sent to third party vendors including, Broadridge and Mediant;
designing or executing business processes and solutions for delivering Department of Labor (DOL) required
client and participant communications (fee disclosure notices and enrollment guides) using marketing and
communications tools -- Marcom and Broadridge microsite; creating plan and participant communications -- service
agreement, disclosure notices, and client presentations; submitting plan and participant communications for legal,
compliance, and FINRA approval for e-review; and maintaining plan and participant communications for audit
files. DE analyzing participant user experiences on a work-place
benefits platform and client (plan administrators) Web application experiences using Web user interface; assessing the
impact of plan configurations and participant data maintenance changes using custom reports generated in SQL; and
