Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Acute Care Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Med/Surg Tele Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Newton, MA. Job Function: Night Shift. 7:15pm to 7:15am. Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse. Educates patients on surgical procedures; Records patients’ medical information and vital signs. Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records. electronic displays. Using electrocardiogram (EKG) machines to continuously track heart performance. Analyzing EKG results to establish baselines and spot abnormalities; Recording EKG results to keep patient information accurate. Job Requirements: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) . Current RN license for the state that you are working in (or willingness to obtain) 2 years of acute Med/Surg Tele RN experience is required. BLS & ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
