The University of Vermont Medical Center, a leader in community health in Burlington, VT, seeks a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to enrich our healthcare team. Provide basic medical care including monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and recording patients' health issues. Collaborate with registered nurses and medical staff to establish a care plan for patients. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to ensure the accuracy of patient history and health data. Assist with patient examinations and the preparation of samples for laboratory testing. Educate and provide supportive care to patients and their families regarding treatment plans. Maintain a clean and safe healthcare environment according to current standards and regulations. Proficient in administering medications and providing wound care Able to efficiently handle emergency situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong observational skills and detail oriented Capable of managing multiple tasks in a busy healthcare environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Current LPN license to practice in Vermont CPR certified or ability to gain certification upon employment
