Central Vermont Medical Center, a part of The University of Vermont Health Network, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented X-ray Technologist to join our Radiology team. Our facility prides itself on community focus and delivering patient-centered care. This role requires proficiency in X-ray imaging, patient preparation, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will support our mission to provide comprehensive healthcare services by ensuring accurate diagnostic imaging, which is pivotal for effective treatment planning. Performing X-ray imaging consistent with industry standards Preparing patients for radiologic procedures and ensuring their comfort Maintaining and operating imaging equipment safely and efficiently Collaborating with radiologists to evaluate images and determine necessity for retake Implementing and adhering to health and safety standards to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff Documenting all procedures and maintaining accurate patient records Continuously updating knowledge on new technologies and best practices in radiologic sciences Proficiency in using X-ray imaging equipment Strong understanding of radiation safety and protection practices Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously High level of professionalism and ethical conduct Effective communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Valid certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) State license as required
