Summary

The Director of Market Insights will be responsible for developing and leading a best-in-class, enterprise level Market Research & Insights function, developing a comprehensive market research plan and supervising execution of market research projects for the Karyopharm portfolio. This functional leader will also be charged with integrating primary market research results with other data analysis, quantitative studies, and information to derive key insights that inform commercial strategies.

We welcome out of state candidates and will assist with relocation.

Responsibilities

Design and lead market research & CI projects, from inception to conclusion, in collaboration with business partners to drive business insights, decisions, and performance

Build and leverage new capabilities including predictive analytics, promotional response modeling, and assessment of omnichannel marketing performance

Identify gaps in market research capabilities and propose solutions

Identify and develop key performance metrics to measure and monitor brand strategy and tactics including ROls

Stay abreast of market research innovations and industry best practices. Influence change from status quo; adding significant value to the market research function

Understand the market & business needs; Responsible for qualitative and quantitative primary research projects & analysis of secondary sources to address key business questions

Provide input to business plans, brand strategies and life cycle management

Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure business issues are translated into specific research questions with clear business impact

Secure input into the development of draft research materials (e.g., questionnaires, surveys, focus groups etc.)

Ensure execution of projects in a timely manner and within the budget

Present results and insights to the highest levels of leadership

Identify market research firms that have the necessary experience to support our project objectives

Develop/coach others in market research staff

Ensure all marketing research activities are conducted in accordance with financial and ethical compliance guidelines

Requirements

Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, MBA or other advanced degree, preferred

7 + years market research, or business analytics experience required

Oncology experience and deep understanding of the market is required

Expertise with CRM programs, statistical software, databases and MS Office programs

Possess a strong understanding of oncology secondary data and syndicated sources and their strengths and weaknesses

Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools

Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, analytical/financial skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to collaborate cross functionally with all stakeholders in a small and entrepreneurial team

People management experience preferred

High ethical standards, including adherence to all Corporate, Compliance, and Regulatory guidelines and procedures

Must live a commutable distance to US Corporate Headquarters in Newton, MA or be willing to relocate

Approximately 20% domestic travel (post pandemic) to attend important meetings and market research. Travel may be outside of normal working hours and over weekends
