The Associate Director, Digital Medicine will report to Vice
President, Data Sciences, and serve as a leader at Karyopharm with
a primary responsibility of leading and implementing a
science-driven digital strategy across the whole clinical
development program at Karyopharm. Duties will include developing a
platform of novel digital solutions for accelerating the collection
of real-world data in pivotal clinical trials, aligned with the
company’s commitment for accelerating novel therapies and pushing
medicine forward to the next level through disruptive innovation.

leverage opportunities for improving clinical trials through
Represent Karyopharm regarding digital medicine issues with
external parties including regulatory agencies and corporate
Provide advanced data science expertise to Karyopharm’s digital
Design and implement science-driven data science solutions to
leverage the analytics of real-world data from wearable sensors and
electronic quality of life diaries to achieve ground-breaking
progress in precision oncology.
Recommend and deliver data science solutions using data mining
and machine learning tools based on diverse data sources, such as
clinical trial endpoints, genomic data, and real-world
Lead the development and implementation of automated clinical
data visualization platform in clinical studies and digital data
Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment with world
leading clinicians, researchers, data scientists, digital medicine
experts, and biostatisticians.
Participate in the broader data science community to follow the
latest developments in data and technology.
Coordinate and produce the data required for the evaluation,
interpretation, and reporting of clinical trial results for
internal meetings, conference presentations, publications, and
time-sensitive regulatory submissions.
Qualifications Advanced degree in a related field .
4+ years' experience in digital medicine in the pharma
Proven expertise in leading effective strategy for developing
digital medicine endpoints from proof of concept to scale-up
solutions, including full implementation in pivotal trials with and
a regulatory path for approval.
Hands-on experience in clinical research experience as a PI with
a recognized peer-reviewed publication record.
Broad knowledge of the pharma industry, including the drug
development cycle, the healthcare system, the medical technology
sector, and the regulatory space.
Demonstrated working knowledge of patient-centered outcomes,
medical device research, wearable data analytics, endpoint
development, and ePRO solutions.
Strong analytical orientation, can-do attitude, and strategic
Excellent interpersonal, communication, management, and
Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity and work
collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong writing and presentation skills.
Practical software development skills in standard data science
tools (such as R or python)
Knowledge of statistical modelling techniques, and drive to
